Semico Introduces New IPI Market Drivers

Market Drivers Report Will Highlight Select End-Use Markets

Phoenix, Arizona June 7, 2006 - Today, Semico Research announced a new addition to the Semico IPI subscription service called the Semico IPI Market Drivers Report. The original IPI, Inflection Point Indicator, was developed to assist in forecasting revenues approximately three quarters in advance. The company answered the need to provide executives and key company decision-makers an 8-9 month warning of an impending change in the direction of the semiconductor industry.

“Historical analysis on the past 25 years has demonstrated that the IPI has accurately predicted inflection points in semiconductor revenues with a R-squared of 92%,” said Jim Feldhan, President of Semico.

Semico uses its MAP (Market Analysis and Planning) model to provide key inputs for the IPI. The MAP model, another supplement to the IPI service, is an online interactive database with intuitive query and output to breakdown dollars, units, BOMs, process technologies and wafer demand by applications.

Semico’s newest product, the IPI Market Drivers, will highlight select end-use markets from the MAP model. “The MAP model includes semiconductor consumption in over 40 end-use markets with a BOM list of approximately 200 device types making this monthly subscription a real value,” remarked Mr. Feldhan.

The Semico IPI Market Drivers is available for purchase individually or as a supplement to the Semico IPI or Semico MAP model. Currently, special package options are available.
