Are You Going to SEMICON West? Semico is Presenting at Two Sessions

Semico Research will be at the 2016 SEMICON West.  Jim Feldhan, President of Semico Research, will speak at SEMICON West on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.  Jim is speaking during the session:  Analog and New Frontiers:  Equipment Supplier Forecast, Challenges Specific to the Manufacture and Test of Analog Devices.

Location:  Keynote Stage, North Hall, Room 134, Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA
When:  7/13/16, 2:00pm-4:00pm

Abstract:
While digital logic continues to push the leading edge process technology, this trend continues to open N-1 and other process technology capacity for analog products.  This partially or fully depreciated capacity enables innovation and cost effective solutions for new products and markets.
Jim Feldhan will present the market trends for analog products and delved into emerging opportunities that will drive future analog sales and manufacturing capacity.
Analog semiconductors are the prime enabler providing the user interface between the real world and the digital circuitry making IoT, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving a reality.
Jim will present a forecast for analog products and new end markets for these devices.

Adrienne Downey, Director of Technology Research at Semico Research, will speak at SEMICON West on Thursday, July 14, 2016.  Adrienne is speaking during the session:  3D Printing:  A New Dimension in Manufacturing.

Location:  TechXPOT South, Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA
When:  7/14/16, 10:30am-12:30pm

Abstract:
Additive manufacturing, more popularly known as 3D printing, has captured the imagination of many, with the possibility of starting a manufacturing revolution.  In recent years, 3D printer prices have dropped substantially, and a wide variety of printable materials is available, with new materials constantly in development.  3D printing is being used in many more applications than most people realize.  We are on the cusp of a manufacturing revolution that affects so many different industries already.  This presentation will provide an overview of the current 3D printing market landscape, including technologies, players, and industries where 3D printing is already a success.  Perhaps the most exciting thing about 3D printing is how it opens up new and better ways of designing and manufacturing objects.  Its true potential is as a complementary technology to other manufacturing methods, ushering in new mass custom product possibilities.
