The Internet of Things promises to connect a whopping 36 billion devices by 2020. The goal is to enhance and improve company operations and consumers' lives in a myriad of ways. The benefit to the electronics market is all the added chips needed to make these connections, and collect and process data. Wearables, electronic health care, smart home, cities and cars all promise to be high volume semiconductor markets. What will these markets look like? What are some of the enabling technologies necessary to make IoT a reality? Semico Research executives Jim Feldhan and Tony Massimini will be making presentations about the Internet of Things at two separate events on May 20th, 2015. President of Semico, Jim Feldhan will present "Building the Smart Future" at the ConFab 2015, to be held at the Encore at the Wynn in Las Vegas, Nevada. Feldhan will present the outlook for key components of the IoT market. At ConFab 2015, Jim Feldhan will present current market trends driving the electronics, semiconductor demand and Semico's outlook for these semiconductor market opportunities.
Tony Massimini, Chief of Technology for Semico Research, will be speaking at the 13th Annual MEPTEC MEMS Technology Symposium. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn at the San Jose Airport in California. Tony's presentation will cover the ecosystem for MCUs, sensors and MEMS for IoT.
