Semico IMPACT: Todd Gurela of Cisco to Keynote

Semico is proud to announce Todd Gurela, Senior Director of Cisco's IoT division, will deliver a keynote address on April 23rd, 2014 at the Semico Smart Lighting IMPACT Event: Brilliant Opportunities for Building Automation

Todd is an executive level expert in the Internet of Things (IoT) with significant industry background helping customers manage the evolution/convergence between IT and Operational/Automation technologies across Utility, O&G/Petrochemical, Transportation, and Manufacturing industries.  As an industry leader at Cisco, he is primed to discuss how Smart Lighting will enable IoT and drive growth within the semiconductor industry.

As the development of solid state lighting (SSL) continues to advance, it opens the possibilities of integrating sensors, controls, connectivity and communications into luminaires.  As individual luminaires become smarter, the opportunity to integrate them into cost-effective smart buildings, automobiles and other applications emerges as a profitable business opportunity.  Commercial real estate offers one of the largest market opportunities for smart lighting, though ironically, SSL has made the least penetration into the commercial office lighting space.

Are you ready to bring the Internet of Things to the market as a viable option for builders and planners?  The Semico Smart Lighting IMPACT Event will provide a lineup of thought provoking keynotes and an extremely knowledgeable panel to discuss the roadmap facing designers and manufacturers.

If you are an architect, LED manufacturer, a system designer or in building planning, plan to attend this event on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Clara, California.
